Normalize and Educate. If your team doesn’t know what burnout looks and feels like, they will not be able to know that is what they are experiencing in the first place, let alone take the proper steps to heal. I’d almost compare it to being in an abusive relationship. Until someone points out ‘Hey, those behaviors are not okay, and here’s why”, the individual who’s being abused may think that the issues they are dealing with are normal, rather than damaging.
